Individual Therapy for Those Ready to Set Some of That Weight Down
You've already done the hard work of recognizing that something needs to change. This is the next step.
Therapy at CARE is a space to understand the patterns that shaped you, reconnect with what matters most to you, and begin building a life that feels lighter, freer, and more authentically yours.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive, rooted in the belief that healing happens in relationship, and that your story deserves to be understood in its full context, without translation or apology.
Sessions are available in English and Spanish, in person in New Jersey and virtually across NJ, NY, and MD.
A quick note on what people bring here
The experiences people bring into therapy are as individual as they are, but there are some common threads, invisible labor, the roles you learned to survive, the guilt that can come with choosing yourself. If you'd like to see whether this sounds like your experience, explore how I help.
What Working Together Looks Like
Therapy with me is not a program or a fixed process. It's a relationship, one that moves at your pace and stays anchored to what matters most to you.
From the beginning, we'll take time to understand not just what's bringing you in, but who you are, your values, your story, the roles you've carried, and what you're hoping to feel differently about. That context shapes everything.
Sessions are collaborative and reflective. I'll ask questions that invite you to slow down and look inward. I'll also gently name patterns I notice, hold space for things that are hard to say out loud, and bring cultural context into the room rather than leaving it at the door. We'll also pay attention to what your body is telling us because our nervous systems often hold what our words haven't found yet.
For some clients, the work extends beyond the session through reflection, small practices, or simply noticing patterns as they show up in daily life. This is never about homework in the traditional sense; it's about bringing awareness into the moments that matter.
I draw on CBT, ACT, insight-oriented work, and EMDR- a specialized approach for processing trauma that goes beyond talk therapy. If EMDR feels relevant to your work, we'll explore that together.
The goal is not to fix you, because you are not broken. It's to help you understand yourself more fully, so that insight can begin to create real choice.
Your Investment
Therapy is more than managing what's on the surface- it's an investment in your healing, your relationships, and your long-term well-being.
At CARE Therapy, sessions are self-pay to give you the flexibility and freedom to focus on what matters most, without the restrictions of insurance. This means:
You choose the pace, depth, and focus of our work.
Your care is confidential and not limited by diagnosis requirements.
We can bring cultural context, family roles, and lived experience into the room in a way that honors your full story.
Superbills are provided for clients with out-of-network benefits.
To make out-of-network reimbursement as seamless as possible, I partner with Reimbursify to submit claims on your behalf so you can focus on the work, not the paperwork.
Many clients find that choosing self-pay helps them prioritize themselves in a meaningful way therapy on their terms, not on insurance terms.
You don't have to carry everything alone.
