The first step is a free 15-minute consultation- a space to explore what's bringing you in, ask questions, and get a sense of whether we're a good fit. Finding the right therapist matters, and that conversation is where it begins.
-
I primarily work with women of color, ages 16 and up, navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. If you don't identify as a woman of color but feel drawn to this approach, you're welcome to reach out. CARE Therapy is an affirming space for anyone who resonates with this work.
-
Yes! I work with teens ages 16 and up. If you're a parent reaching out on behalf of your teen, feel free to get in touch and we can talk through whether this would be a good fit.
-
At this time I focus exclusively on individual therapy. If you're looking for couples or family work, I'm happy to help point you in the right direction.
Getting Started
-
Yes! I offer virtual therapy to clients in New Jersey, New York, and Maryland, and in-person sessions in New Jersey.
-
Yes! sessions are available in both English and Spanish, whichever allows you to feel most like yourself.
-
Your first session is a full 60 minutes, giving us space to get to know each other, understand what's bringing you in, and begin laying the foundation for our work together. Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes. In some cases extended sessions may be available- we can discuss this during your consultation if that feels relevant to your needs.
-
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session rate.
Sessions & Logistics
-
CARE Therapy is a self-pay practice. This allows us to work together with flexibility and focus without the restrictions insurance often places on care. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill and partner with Reimbursify to submit claims on your behalf, so you can focus on the work, not the paperwork.
-
Because each client's needs and goals are unique, we'll discuss fees during your consultation call. This gives us space to answer questions, explore superbill and reimbursement options, and make sure therapy feels like a sustainable investment for you.
-
I do offer a limited number of sliding scale spots depending on availability and current caseload. If cost is a barrier, I encourage you to bring it up during your consultation call. I'd rather have that conversation than have you not reach out at all.
Fees & Insurance

Therapy here is collaborative, culturally responsive, and guided by what matters most to you. Sessions blend evidence-based approaches- CBT, ACT, EMDR, and somatic awareness with space for reflection, healing, and reconnection. Clients often describe it as a place where they can finally exhale and be fully themselves.
-
Yes! This is some of the most common work we do together. Many clients are carrying invisible loads at work, at home, and in their relationships. Therapy creates space to acknowledge that weight, understand where it comes from, and begin building a life where you're no longer running on empty.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized, evidence-based approach for processing trauma that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Not every client needs EMDR, but for those carrying unprocessed trauma it can be a powerful part of the work. We'll explore together whether it feels right for you.
-
Every person's journey is different. Some clients begin noticing shifts within a few sessions; deeper healing takes longer. We'll regularly revisit your goals to make sure therapy is moving at a pace that feels right and meaningful for you.
-
That's a valid concern, and I take it seriously. One of the things I believe most deeply is that the right fit makes the work possible. If we're not the right match, I'll tell you and I'll help you find someone who is. When the relationship feels safe and right, therapy can go places it couldn't before.
